A Celebration of Life

Our thanks go to Norman’s sister/Liesl’s aunt, Wendy Seiler, and her husband, Dana, for assembling this lovely slideshow for the Celebration.
Our dear friend Bob Stevens set up to take formal photos for us. We had such a good time! Dad always wore aviator sunglasses in his later years, so we wore them in some of the photos in his honor.
Norman’s Celebration of Life was held on August 16th, 2025.
Program Details
We’ll gather from 12 to 2 for food and conversation, and we’ll share stories together about our times with Norman, view photos, and more.
At 2pm, we’ll start the Zoom meeting for his remote friends, at which time we’ll share a few words and celebrate our time with Norman.
We would be pleased if remote friends who cannot attend would send remembrances and thoughts to share during this time. (Please message Liesl).
After the online meeting, those gathered will share cake, coffee and some final time together before adjourning at 4pm.
We’ll be sure to take lots of photos in his honor! (As we all know that was his favorite pastime).
Decatur Friends…
When Dad moved from IL to WV, we knew that he would miss his friends and the sights of Decatur.
We had this picture printed for him on canvas, and had it hanging in his home when he arrived. It is comprised of his most-loved photos from the ‘Decatur Illinois – Then and Now‘ Facebook page. He loved it!

He took many photographs of adoptable cats and events over the years, and would be delighted to know that support was being provided to the organization and the cats that they benefit.
